Monitoring of Buildings -  and measurement in the construction industry

For years the college of Civil Engineering at Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar has successfully used to monitor changes in building constructions.
As an example, during the reconstruction of the medival Runneburg in Thuringia some ground walling had to be renewed. While the tower was lifted
had been utilized to monitor the structural stress on the construction. Thus it was possible to record every detail of change in the structural stability to accomplish a successful reconstruction.

Other applications of
in the construction industry within the last years:

Gauging of the actual deformation during a test scenario of the stress on a bridge at the Rhine-Main-Donau-Channel close to Nuremberg with UPM100 and IMP-10

Gauging stress and vibration at the new railroad bridge close by.

Continous stress gauging at the Kyffhäuser-tower.

Continous stress gauging with stress gauges to monitor cracks in building structures.
